Growing up, I was a gymnast. My friends and I climbed and hung out in trees for fun. When I moved to London, I started rock climbing with work colleagues as a way to meet new people and keep fit given I no longer had my gymnastics outlet. It’s now my favourite way to exercise and some of my closest friends in London are my climbing friends. This was painted just after our first outdoor sport climbing (climbing with ropes) adventure in the Peak Distric. It’s about finding your home away from home, connecting with nature and exploring fun pastimes.
