Creepy Trees
Inspired by the California coast, Yosemite, Megève, Sölden, and SJW, my Winter Trees series blends my autumn and winter adventures together.
Creepy Trees inspired the rest of the collection bringing feelings of inner peace. I was feeling uninspired and took a walk per advice from Julia Cameron in the book The Artist’s Way (p.s. I can’t recommend this book enough for any and all). I was struck by these three naked trees just outside the park that had the most interesting angles of their branches. It was so encouraging to get a spark of creativity which rolled into more. Sometimes all it takes is a moment to help you move forward and let go of fear.
