Everglades at Dusk
My Horizons series is a group of paintings done intuitively with only a horizon in mind and no plan. The horizon is something that we admire from a distance, but can never reach. It simultaneously gives us hope and reminds us to live in the moment. The resulting works have reminded me of peaceful natural landscapes that bring a sense of both contentment and wistfulness.
I've named this Everglades at Dusk purely because that's what it evokes for me, what does it bring to mind for you? Its twin, Everglades at Dawn (red paper) was painted side by side with it (blue paper).
