Light Well

Sale Price:£50.00 Original Price:£135.00
Sold Out

13cm X 17cm

Acrylic, wax crayon, and collage on paper.

I fell in love with Hong Kong when I visited with work in 2017, so much so that I returned on a personal trip in 2019 just before COVID-19 shut down the world. Hong Kong is a beautiful city with a unique juxtaposition of urban and natural settings. The mountain hike is a 10 minute walk up from the skyscrapers and the peak of the mountain reveals a stunning and seemingly endless sea. It’s also a place deeply impacted by the world’s pollution. During COVID, news articles started coming out about the hole in the ozone closing. This was extremely encouraging news in a heavy time and it gave me hope for the future. This piece evokes optimism and is a reminder that nature can bring a sense of freedom and peace.

The black frames for this one are mock ups, but the white frame can be optionally included in your purchase of this piece. Note that the frame comes with a plastic film, but the photo is shown without the film.
