My Horizons series is a group of paintings done intuitively with only a horizon in mind and no plan. The horizon is something that we admire from a distance, but can never reach. It simultaneously gives us hope and reminds us to live in the moment. The resulting works have reminded me of peaceful natural landscapes that bring a sense of both contentment and wistfulness.
There’s something about the UK sky that has penetrated deep into my soul. I honestly love the cloudy days and the misty weather. This piece is a tribute to the literal soaking in of England within me.
